PURPOSE:To extend the life of a processing tool for grooves, by forming organic substance film on the surface of a disc, and forming spare grooves corresponding to recording information or a tracking guide. CONSTITUTION:On a glass flat plate 1 driven in >=300rpm rotating speed, an organic resin liquid such as acryl, epoxy or polystylene having 1-3% concentration diluted with an organic solvent is charged and spread on the glass flat plate 1 with centrifugal force to form an organic substance film 7 as a very thin preparatory groove forming layer with 700-1,200Angstrom thickness. The organic substance film 7 forming on the glass flat plate 1 in rotation is scratched in spiral with a diamond cutter 17 to form a preparatory groove 20 corresponding to recording information or a tracking guide of an information recording medium and a master disc 21 for information storage medium base manufacture. |
