PURPOSE:To prevent the wastefull discharge of a heat medium by a method wherein the heat medium within the titled heat collector and its circulation passage is discharged outside only when the temperature of the heat medium is below a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:The proprirety of heat collection is adjudged when the signals from an insolation sensor 17 and a low temperature senser 19 in a hot water storage tank 3 are inputted to a control device 16 and in this case, when no heat collecting operation is ON, electromagnetic valves V1 and V2 provided in a forward pipe 4 and a backward pipe 5, respectively, are closed and a pump 9 is stopped. Further, when, during the stoppage of the heat collecting operation, an anti-freezing senser 18 in the heat collector 1 detects that the temperature of the heat medium is lower than the predetermined value, an electrmagnetic valve v3 in a discharge pipe 14 which is connected to the lowermost part of the forward pipe 4 and an electromagnetic valve 14 in a connecting pipe 15 which connects the backward pipe 5 to the discharge pipe 14 at a position right above the electromagnetic valve V4 in the pipe 15 are opened so that the heat medium is discharged from the discharge pipe 14. |
