The invention relates to a compact lubrication device for internal combustion engines, in which the oil collecting pan, which forms the dry sump, and the oil reservoir consist of an integral component, the one-piece intermediate wall dividing the collecting pan from the oil reservoir. The oil feed channel leading from the collecting pan to the oil scavenge pump and the lubricating oil channel leading from the oil reservoir to the pump for supplying oil under pressure to the engine are of two-part design and the channel sections connected to the component and the channel sections connected to the crankcase can be joined in sealing fashion by flexible plug-in connections. A lubrication device of this kind requires only a small amount of space in the engine compartment while providing the largest possible supply of oil. The special connection of the lubrication device to the crankcase furthermore ensures permanent sealing.
