The invention relates to a holder for the attachment of plant containers and railings to walls, parapets or the like, by means of which holder both plant containers of any desired width and railing supports can be attached with little expenditure to parapets of different widths in a structurally satisfactory manner. It is proposed for this purpose to mount bending-resistant profiles inside the container on the bottom part thereof having openings for passing attachment means through the profiles and through openings in the container bottom, and to arrange holders on the profiles for attaching railing supports to the profiles.
