PURPOSE:The titled composition useful as an inexpensive elastic sealing material, having improved light resistance, weather resistance, heat resistance, etc., obtained by polymerizing a specific acrylic ester monomer with a specified vinylalkoxysilane, etc. in the presence of a chain tranfer agent. CONSTITUTION:(A) An acrylic ester monomer(e.g., ethyl acrylate, etc.) shown by the formulaI(R1 is 2-8C alkyl)is copolymerized with (B) a vinylalkoxysilane shown by the formulaII(R2 is 1-4C alkyl; X is methoxy, or ethoxy; a is 0, 1 or 2) and/or a (meth)acryloxyalkoxysilane (e.g., vinyltrimethoxysilane, etc.) shown by the formula III(R3 is H or CH3; R4 is bifunctional hydrocarbon group; R5 is R2; Y is X; b is a) in the presence of (C) a mercapto group-containing chain transfer agent (e.g., n-butylmercaptan), to give a polymer which is a main component of the desired composition. EFFECT:No problem of pollution in the circumference of execution will occur. |
