The invention starts from a method for recipe-faithful batchwise manufacture of bituminous mixed material from individual components in a preparation installation equipped with storage containers and weighing devices. Firstly, rough weighing of each individual component is carried out, the actual weights of the individual components being determined, and subsequently a fine weighing of at least one component is added, in order to keep the desired weights of the components of the mixed material according to the recipe within the respectively admissible tolerance range. In this case, it is a matter of making possible a recipe-faithful batchwise manufacture of bituminous mixed material within the admissible tolerances in a short time, without the capacity of the manufacturing installation having to be reduced significantly. To this end, the component, the actual weight of which exceeds its desired weight the most after the rough weighing, is established and the tolerance range is fixed with its upper limit corresponding to this maximum overweight. After checking the remaining actual weights against the thus fixed tolerance range (21'), only those components of which the actual weights lie outside the tolerance range are additionally fine-weighed.
