Magnetic separators are known for the separation of magnetisable substances from non-magnetisable substances, which separators consist, for example, of a vibrator conveyor and an electromagnetic system arranged above it in a stationary fashion, which system generates a travelling-wave field running perpendicularly to the conveying direction of the material to be separated. According to the invention, a vibrator table (1) is used as the vibrator conveyor, the entire surface of which table is covered by the electromagnetic system (3, 4) generating the travelling-wave field and the conveying direction (B) of which table caused by the vibrating movement forms together with the direction of movement (A) of the travelling-wave field running transversely to the longitudinal extension of the vibrator table (1) an angle of 45 DEG .The magnet system can be designed as an open or closed system. <IMAGE> |
