PURPOSE:To improve the thermoplastic property of coloring component of a heat sensitive recording medium by employing a sulfonyldiphenyl compound as an acidic substance for coloring a coloring substance at the heating time and incorporating aromatic polysulfone resin in a heat sensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:In a heat sensitive recording medium containing a heat sensitive layer composed of colorless or pale coloring substance, acidic substance for coloring the coloring substance at the heating time and a binder at least on one side surface of the medium, the acidic substance is a sulfonyldiphenyl compound such as 4, 4'-sulfonyldiphenol, mixed with aromatic polysulfone resin such as ''Udel '' polysulsone represented by the formula, where (n) signifies 50-80 in the heat sensitive layer. The recorded image obtained from this medium improves its stability against a plasticizer, thereby eliminating the erasing effect of the image and discoloring effect. |
