The invention relates to a flexible line element having a corrugated pipe, which is primarily suitable for pulsating flows. In order to silence the noise which is produced by the pulsating flow, the corrugated pipe is surrounded by a strip which crosses over its corrugations obliquely and covers less than 60% of the corrugated tube surface. This strip must rest at least on the corrugation edges in order that the sympathetic vibration induced there by the flow is constrained.
