PURPOSE:To improve the adherence of a readily openable cover by forming by an extrusion press molding a grip member of plastic at a container cover body and securing the grip member, the opening starting member of the cover body and an openable piece simultaneously upon the forming of the grip member. CONSTITUTION:A die 14 is dropped on a plastic lump 11 placed at the side of a container cover body 1 on an anvil 10 to press the lump 11. The lump 11 tends to radially outwardly expand, but since the outer peripheral edge is defined by a sleeve 15, the lump 11 is filled between a bushing 16 and the anvil 10. The lump is then cooled by a coolant 18, thereby forming a grip member 2. In this case, the grip member is melted and adhered to the openable piece 5 of the cover body. Subsequently, the central part 20 of the plastic grip 2 is punched with a center punch 17 and a die 21, thereby forming a ring-shaped grip member 2'. |
