PURPOSE:A novel diene oligomer containing terminal amino groups, useful as liquid rubber, adsorbent for heavy metal, flocculating agent, etc., obtained by reacting an amie such as diethylamine with a diene in the presence of an alkali metal amide. CONSTITUTION:An amine (e.g., diisopropylamine, etc.) shown by the formulaI(R and R' are alkyl, allyl, aryl, or arylalkyl) is reacted with a diene (e.g., isoprene, etc.) shown by the formula II(X is H, methyl, or halogen; Y is H or methyl) in a molar amount to give 6-60 times that of the amine in the presence of a corresponding alkali metal amide such as lithium amide in a molar amount to give 0.25-10 times that of the amine, to give a nitrogen-containing compound shown by the formula III (n is 3-25). USE:An agent for lowering pour point. A dispersant for purification. A thermosetting material. A component for coating compound of electrodeposition. A viscosity index improver. |
