The invention relates to a process and a control circuit for the automatic packaging of piece goods, in which these are introduced through a falling tube into a net arranged at the lower end of the latter, its upper end is fed to a snap head by means of a net drawing-in device, the net is closed in the snap head during the supply of filling material for the subsequent net, and the net drawing-in device is returned to the lower end of the falling tube during the filling operation.
