<p>The effluent waters containing sulfides, possibly containing also polluting organic compounds, are depurated by catalytic oxidation of the sulfides to elemental sulfur, and flocculation with an aluminum compound in the presence of an anionic polyelectrolyte. The catalyst is a compound of a metal of the VII or VIII group of the periodic system, preferably manganese sulfate.</p> |
