Cosmetic composition comprising phytosterols, isoflavones and methylricinoleate, use as inhibitor of 5-alpha-reductase and hair growth

The present invention relates to a cosmetic mixture comprising phytosterols in quantities ranging from 1 to 20% by weight, isoflavones from 0.1 to 4% by weight and methylricinoleate from 80 to 90% by weight. Said cosmetic mixture is formulated with excipients normally used in the cosmetic sector, to give a cosmetic formulation. The cosmetic mixture and formulation are capable of inhibiting the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase, and thus have inhibitory or retardatory activity towards the growth of body hair.
