PURPOSE:To detect the distributions of gases visually with high resolving power and sensitivity by scanning the detecting surface two-dimensionally with monochromatic light laser beams, detecting the reflected beams thereof with a photodetector and forming video on a TV receiver. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam of 3.39mu wavelength from an He-Ne laser 1 is projected to a detecting surface 4 via a chopper 13, a beam magnifying optical system 10, a double-sided scanning mirror 2, and an optical system 3 for changing optical path. The reflected beams enter a photodetector 6 via a main reflecting mirror 5, the mirror 2, a correction optical system 11, and a narrow band filter 12. The laser beams are scanned two dimensionally by oscillating the mirror 2 in a horizontal direction with a motor 7 and oscillating the mirror 5 and the mirror 2 in a vertical direction with a motor 8. The output of a photodetector 6 is supplied via turning circuit 14, a synchronizing amplifier 16, and an AGC amplifier 17 to a TV receiver 9, by which the image including the black color regions by adsorption of CH4 is formed. The distributions of gaseous methane are detected visually with high resolving power and sensitivity. |
