PURPOSE:To perform an economical sinking of a structure, by a method wherein a ground-excavating jet nozzle, attached to a lower part of a structure, is divided into a plural number of partitions, and the jet partitions are adjusted to hardness of a ground. CONSTITUTION:In case a lower part of a steel structure 1 is sunk on a sea bottom ground 6, and in the case of a soft ground, high-pressure water is jetted through nozzles 17 and 18 of a water feed pipe 5 with a lower part nozzle in all divided partitions A-E, and the lower part of the steel structure is sunk to a sea bottom ground with the progress of excavation of a sea bottom ground under pipe stays 2 and horizontal coupling members 3 through the jet of the high-pressure water. If it reaches a hard ground, high-pressure water is simultaneously jetted through all nozzles 11, 12, 17, and 18 of upper and lower water feed pipes 4 and 5 in one division partition for excavation. All partitions are then excavated as an excavating partition is widened gradually, and this causes sinking of the structure. |
