摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain a desired 3-dimensional optical waveguide, by forming a deformed waveguide pattern having a specific magnification ratio in the vertical and horizontal directions to a long-sized glass matrix along its lengthwise direction and then expanding said waveguide pattern in its lengthwise direction at a high temperature. CONSTITUTION:Plural deformed waveguide patterns 12 having the 1/L-fold contraction to a specific direction X and the L<1/2>-fold magnification in a direction Y orthogonal to the direction X (L: expanded magnification ratio of a glass matrix 11) are formed to the long-sized matrix 11 having a specific direction (toward an arrow X) where the light is transmitted defined as its lengthwise direction (13: branch part of waveguide). Then the matrix 11 is heated up and then expanded by an L-fold extent in the lengthwise direction to obtain a matrix 11' (14: waveguide pattern; 15: branch part). This matrix 11' is cut and separated along the dotted lines to obtain a desired 3-dimentional optical waveguide. |
