PURPOSE:To prevent an electronic register from being used illegally by setting time zones when the electronic register is operated by persons in charge, and then inhibiting the registration of the electronic register when the electronic register is operated outside a proper time zone. CONSTITUTION:An electronic register is provided with a clocking circuit 16 which counts current time, an input part for inputting discrimination codes by persons in charge, a memory 12 stored with data on operation time zones of sides of persons in charge, etc. When one of codes by the persons in charge is specified through the input part 17, the current time is read out of the circuit 16 and the time zone data of a corresponding person in charge is also read out of the memory 12 to compare the both. If it is found that the current time is not in the operation time zone of the person in charge, error processing is performed, inhibiting input processing. |
