PURPOSE:To improve the yield of casting by removing the floating slag in a tundish just before the casting of the final molten steel of the molten steel cast in the previous time ends thereby emptying the inside of the tundish then starting the next casting. CONSTITUTION:Slag S2 is thoroughly removed by a slag sucking device 4 just before the casting of the final molten metal M2 in a tundish 2 into a mold 3 ends completely. In this way, while the slag S2 is removed thoroughly, one molten steel M2 is cast into the mold 3 to empty the inside of the tundish 2. During this time, a ladle 1 is exchanged with a ladle 1' of the next time quickly. A steel plate not shown is inserted on the top surface of the molten steel M3 for the previous casting as a separator between steel kinds, and the casting of the next molten steel is started immediately. |
