PURPOSE:To improve the rate of fuel consumption by providing an engine load response valve which gives a lockup signal pressure in a low engine load region in addition to a car speed response valve which gives a lockup signal pressure in a high speed region. CONSTITUTION:A lockup control device 100 is composed of a lockup control valve 30, an engine load response valve 31, and a car speed response valve 32. When a spool 31a of the engine load response valve 31 is moved to the upper half position by a spring 31b, a port 31c is connected to a port 31d, and when it is moved to the lower half position, the port 31c is connected to a port 31b. The port 31c is connected to a chest 30e of the lockup control valve 30, the port 31d to a port 37 of a 2-3 shift valve 132, a chest 31e to a throttle pressure circuit 165, and a port 31f to a port 32c of the car speed response valve 32 respectively. As a result, when the load is low even in a low speed region, a lockup condition is assured resulting in an improvement of fuel consumption. |
