<p>1437118 Sound absorbing concrete E TRUDS 16 Oct 1973 [25 Oct 1972] 48143/73 Heading C1H Sound absorbing concrete consists of a continuous phase of cement and water and a discontinuous phase of porous aggregate particles having greater strength than the continuous phase and in at least a peripheral zone of the particles there is deposited in the pores a material providing the aggregate with a greater inner absorbing effect against mechanical vibrations, a substantial portion of the outer surfaces of the particles being substantially free of the material. In an example is described the production of concrete from portland cement, water, pit gravel and tile particles impregnated with bitumen.</p> |
