<p>A conveyor arrangement for the continuous transport of debris comprises a container 1 housing a filter 2, and a suction pump 4 arranged to create an air current into the container through a conveyor tube 5 and thence through the filter 2 to the pump. Debris is carried into the container through the tube 5 on the air current and falls into the bottom 6 of the container. The debris is removed from zone 6 by a screw conveyor 7. The outlet of the screw conveyor has a hinged closure 13 which is biased into air-tight engagement with the outlet. The screw is capable of exerting sufficient force upon the debris to move the closure away from the outlet to discharge the debris. <IMAGE></p> |
