<p>PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion-resistance of a paint-applied surface, by letting a water solution, which contains a fixed amount of an oxidizing inhibitor or the like other than chromate, adhere to a phosphate film formed on the surface of a workpiece to be coated by application or the like, and then drying the treated surface. CONSTITUTION:Phosphating liquid, prepared by adding an accelerator or the like to zinc phosphate, ferrous phosphate, calcium phosphate or the like, is applied to a workpiece, to be coated, by a means such as atomizing, to form a phosphate film at a rate of 0.3-10g/m<2>. A water solution, which contains 10ppm-20%, each or in total, of one or more of oxidizing inibitors and precipitating inhibitors other than chromate, is let adhere to the phosphate film by a means such as spraying or applying, and then dried. The oxidizing inhibitor other than chromate may be phosphate, polyphosphate or the like. The precipitating inhibitor may be a zinc salt, a calcium salt, a magnesium salt or the like.</p> |
