<p>PURPOSE:To remove a minute amount of a chlorine gas in air by a method wherein the chlorine gas component in air is oxidized by ozone and ozone treated air is contacted with an impregnated filter mat. CONSTITUTION:Surrounding air 37 containing a minute amount of a chlorine gas is passed through a filter at first to remove dust therein and the dust removed air is introduced into an ozone reacting chamber 4 to convert the chlorine gas therein to oxide by ozone 29. When thus treated air is contacted with washing water 14, said oxide is converted to chlorate through chloric acid. After this treatment, the treated air C is passed through a dried caustic soda solution impregnated filter mat 5 to be dehumidified and sent out by a ventilating fan 4. By this method, a minute amount of the chlorine gas is removed and bad affect to an electric system is removed.</p> |
