TRAIN DRIVER MONITORING SYSTEM USING ELECTRODERMAL ACTIVITY AND THE METHOD

A train driver monitoring system using an electrodermal activity and a monitoring method thereof are provided to determine a driver's arousal state by using a change in skin resistance. A train driver monitoring system using an electrodermal activity includes a static current generating member, a skin potential measuring member, and a data collecting member. The static current generating member supplies a constant current to a first electrode(100) and a second electrode(102) attached to a train driver's skin. The skin potential measuring member measures an SIR(Skin Impedance Response) signal corresponding to an alternating current component of a signal and an SIL(Skin Impedance Level) signal indicating a skin impedance change among skin potentials measured in the first and second electrodes. The data collecting member determines the SIR signal and the SIL(Skin Impedance Level) signal measured in the skin potential measuring member.
