The device has an underground reservoir (1) and an above ground throw-in shaft (3), which has a down pipe (4) provided with upper, front side cover, with a closable opening for feed in of a suction lance into the reservoir. The front side covering is detachable from the down pipe. The down pipe forms the axial inlet for the suction lance with its open front side. The covering formed as cap, has a locking device (10) accessible in the casing of the down pipe on its inner side.
