A parking brake for a vehicle is provided to enhance actuator configuration to simultaneously interpose a plurality of balls between a stationary ramp plate and a rotational ramp plate without breaking away the balls. A parking brake for a vehicle comprises a disk(10) rotating with vehicle wheels, inner/outer disk pads(12,14) attached to a carrier which is mounted on a chassis frame, and an actuator(40) installed on a caliper housing(20) to operate a piston(30). The actuator is installed on a chamber of the caliper housing for connecting to a parking cable and pushes the piston toward the inner disk pad through cooperating with the parking cable. The actuator includes a stationary ramp plate(50) fixed at the chamber, a rotational ramp plate(60) in which an operation lever is connected with the parking cable, and a ball assembly(70) interposed between the stationary ramp plate and the rotational ramp plate.
