FLAT TYPE PIEZOELECTRIC DEVICE

PURPOSE:To relieve mechanical stress and improve reliability of airtight sealing by placing a support between a fixed terminal and a piezoelectric piece formed at the tip of a lead wire container of an airtight container. CONSTITUTION:A support for a quartz piece is formed. Leads 71-74 that also act as a fixing stand are formed by etching a thin metallic plate of molybdenum, etc. to a desired pattern and bending a part of it to L-shape. Further, a half edge part 76 and a very fine bridge parts 701-708 are provided. A crystal oscillator 81 is shifted onto the leads 71-74, and the edge part 76 is cut off. The oscillator 81 is fixed to a oscillator fixing stand 83 using an adhesive agent 82 to make it to a partially assembled part 8. The base 9 and the part 8 are designed to allow drop fitting and the part 8 is mounted to the base 9. The bridge parts 701-708 are cut off and a cover 93 is stuck to the flange 91 of the base 9 using solder. By using such leads 71-74, mechanical stress can be relieved.
