Independent claims are included for: (1) a method for fixing a fiber containing material comprising optionally applying the agent on a precast fiber containing material; and (2) a polymer comprising a combination of at least (I) and at least one of 75 structural units e.g. polyester moiety of formula -(CH 2-CH(CO-O-Me))- or -(CH 2-CH(CO-O-Et))-; polyamide moiety of formula -(CH 2-CH(CO-NH-Me))- or -(CH 2-CH(CO-NH-Et))-; polyalkyl ester moiety of formula -(CH(CH 3)-CH(CO-O-Me))- or -(CH(CH 3)-CH(CO-O-Et))-; acid ester moiety of formula (CH 2-CH(O-CO-R 1>))-; pyrrolidinone moiety of formula (M5); azepanone moiety of formula (M6); pyridinium moiety of formula (M7); or imidazole moiety of formula (M8), where the polymer excludes structural units i.e. 2,4-dichloro-[1,3,5]triazine unit of formula (1) or (2), trimethyl amine-ketone ester unit of formula (N +>(CH 3)-(CH 2) 2-O-CO-C(CH 2-)(CH 3)-) and an amide-ketone unit of formula (NH 2-CO-(CH 2-)(CH 3)-).
