PURPOSE:To prevent any decrease of the voltage resistance and the breakage resistance of welding parts by preventing any air hole from developing in frit glass and suppressing the reduction of Pb0 by adding an oxygen-discharging matter, which discharges oxygen by decomposing at a temperature of 100-380 deg.C, to a frit glass paste. CONSTITUTION:After 0.5g of mannitol hexanitrate (decomposition temperature, 205 deg.C) is dissolved into a solution consisiting of 99g isoamyl acetate and 1g nitrocellulose, 10cc of thus obtained solution is mixed with 130g of a sealing frit glass powder so as to make a paste. Next, the paste is applied to the sealing surfaces of funnels before the sealing surfaces coated with the paste are dried, and frit baking is carried out after the funnels are combined with panels provided with fluorescent films. According to examination carried out after the above frit baking, although the frits are discolored into whitish gray, no air holes are recognized in the cut surfaces of the frits, and the frits are resistant to breakage equally to those which are subjected to panel baking before the above frit baking is carried out. As the result, panel baking carried out before the panels are combined wit the funnels can be omitted. |
