A method and equipment are provided to increase strength of a linerboard and remove flaws such as spots generated on a surface of the product when producing a finished product by eliminating a corrugating medium and alien substances that are adhered to surfaces of the linerboard pieces or accumulated between the linerboard pieces, and further increase the recovery ratio of the linerboard by allowing the linerboard not to be subjected to a strong impact of sharp impeller blades in a process of separating old corrugated cardboard into a corrugating medium and linerboard pieces. In equipment for separating old corrugated cardboard into a linerboard and a corrugating medium, a method for recovering the linerboard pieces after separating the old corrugated cardboard into the corrugating medium and the linerboard pieces using a swirling water flow and removing the corrugating medium and alien substances by centrifugal dewatering comprises: a step(S1) of primarily injecting white water and old corrugated cardboard; a step(S2) of discharging floating alien substances through a first discharge port after determining the pulp concentration; a step(S3) of discharging a pulp solution of the corrugating medium through a second discharge port; a step(S4) of dewatering the linerboard pieces while washing the linerboard pieces within a pulper; a step(S5) of cleaning an inner wall surface of a pulper external cylinder after washing and dewatering the linerboard pieces ; and a step(S6) of discharging the washed linerboard pieces to the outside through a suction pipe of the outside.
