A rolling element chain is provided to reduce friction between rolling elements and the chain by fixing the rolling elements in the chain with protrusions of retaining elements. A rolling element chain includes a connecting belt(20) and retaining elements(10). The connecting belt is elongated lengthwise and has receiving holes(22A). The receiving holes have two facing sides which are circular in shape. Rolling elements are contained on each of the receiving holes. The retaining elements are mounted on a side of the receiving holes in pair and include retaining surfaces(11,12). Adjacent retaining surfaces have two parts which are straight parts(111,122) and protruded parts(112,121). The straight parts and the protruded parts are arranged in an alternative manner for holding the rolling elements. |
