PURPOSE:To prevent the intaking phenomenon of atmospheric air as well as obtain energy-saving effect by providing a vertical radiatory tube type recuperator to flow downward waste gas toward the exhaust port of a direct firing type batchwise annealing furnace. CONSTITUTION:The vertical radiatory tube type recuperator 9 is provided in such a way that waste gas is flowed downwards toward the plural exhaust ports 18 provided at the tip of the outer cylinder 6 of a direct firing type batchwise annealing furnace for metal strip coil. A preheating air is sent by the blower 19 from the inlet 14 into the recuperator 9 through the annular tube 20 and the tube 21 to preheat it by heat exchange and then supplied to the burner 7 through the tube 22 from the outlet 16. The positioning of the final exhaust port 13 through which the waste gas of recuperator is discharged to the air is made below the exhaust port 18 of the furnace in this way, so that the balance of exhaust gas of each recuperator is kept naturally even if it is imbalanced, thus preventing completely the intake of the air and at the same time enhancing the energy-saving effect of recuperator. |
