PURPOSE:To easily diagnose a car mounted computer, by imparting a function, in which memory contents of the computer of equal kind can be mutually checked, to all of the computers controlling an engine. CONSTITUTION:To perform mutual diagnoses, two sets of engine control units 13 are connected by lead wires, further connected to a power source 54 with light emitting display devices 52, 53. Then simultaneously with closing of a switch 55, the diagnosed engine control unit 13 of the engine control units 13 transfers its own memory contect toward the master engine control unit 13. As a result, all transferred data, if discriminated equal to contents of a memory unit 22 in the master engine control unit 13, are displayed good by the light emitting display devices 52, 53, while if discriminated not equal, are displayed not good. |
