PURPOSE:To simplify the construction and to make the size small, by eliminating the need for a lead-in control mechanism for a tone arm, through the movable support of a sliding base mounting a turn table back and forth to the cabinet of a player. CONSTITUTION:When a playing start switch for 17cm diameter discs is operated after loading a doughnut disc on a turntable 1 at the record disc replacing position, the position of center spindle of a sliding base 2 stops at the playing position shown in X, a tone arm 3 lifts down and playing is started. Next, when a switch for 30cm diameter discs is operated after loading LP discs and the like on the turntable 1, the center spindle position of the sliding base 2 stops at the playing position shown in Y for playing. Since the lead-in position of the tone arm 3 is always made constant, the need for a lead-in position control mechanism can be eliminated, the mechanism is simplified and the size is made small. |
