PURPOSE:To operate a storage device without restraining a CPU, by comparing the content of a register storing an address data from a CPU with that of a shift register reading data after the end of seek, and detecting the beginning end of a recording block. CONSTITUTION:An address register RG stores an address data from a CPU. A shift register SRG shifts a readout data of a magnetic disc 1 and is reset with a sector signal indicating the beginning end of a storage block. A comparator CMP sequentially compares the content of registers RD and SRG and outputs a coincidence signal. A timer T1 outputs signals with a delay by a time requiring the readout of an address information. An FF1 is set with a seek completion signal, an FF2 is set with the output of the FF1 and a block beginning end detection signal is transmitted to the CPU and resets a timer T2. The timer T2 is set with the output of the FF1 and outputs an error signal with a delay by a time turning the disc 1 by one. |
