PURPOSE:To decrease the capacity in a control storage device, by enabling set a constant to an execution control field of a micro-instruction register from another device except a control storge device. CONSTITUTION:A microinstruction is set to a register 8. A pattern executing nothing is generated at a constant generating circuit 11 and goes to a selection gate 7. A branch instruction field of the register 8 goes to the selection gate 7. In an operation control field 2 of the register 8, a selection signal 10 goes to 1, as the result of decoding if a constant and branch instruction set operation is designted at the field 2. If not designated, the signal 10 is always 0. This selection signal 10 is used for the input selection of the selection gate 7. A constant is set to a memory and operation control fields 1 and 2 to constitute a pattern without any operation and the same pattern as the microinstruction before one step is set to fields 3 and 4. |
