PURPOSE:To give a sufficiently charged potential in the dark, by adding a specified disazo pimgnet to a charge generating layer, and a specified diarylmethane compound to a charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:A disazo pigment to be added to a charge generating layer is represented by the general formula (1) in which A is phenyl, chlorophenyl, nitrophenyl, 2,5-dichlorophenyl, 2-methyl-5-chlorophenyl, or 2-methyl-4-chlorophenyl. A diarylmethane compound to be added to a transfer layer is represented by the general formula (2) in which R1 is 1-11C alkyl, optionally substituted phenyl, or heterocyclic, and R2, R3 are H, 1-4C alkyl, hydroxylakyl, chloroalkyl, optionally substituted aralkyl, and they may combine with each other to form a nitrogen-containing hetero ring, and R4 is H, 1-4C alkyl, alkoxy, or halogen. |
