<p>The security switch is key operated so that the battery can be used by authorised persons only. The switch is in an enclosure fitted to the top of the battery case and has a connection over the original positive terminal. A new external terminal is provided to allow cable connection, and the gap between old and new terminals is spanned by the plunger of the security switch. The unit is screwed to the top of the battery case and the cover fused to the top of the battery. A key is used to move the connecting bridge up or down, breaking or making the supply connection to the external terminal.</p> |
