An apparatus and a method for providing preference based location information in a mobile communication system are provided to recommend a place suitable for a current user by discriminately utilizing the preference of another user having a preference similar to the current user. An interface module(210) for communicating with another node comprises an RF processing unit and a base-band processing unit. The RF processing unit converts the signals received through an antenna into the base-band band signals, and offers the converted signals to the base-band processing unit. And the RF processing unit converts the base-band signals into the RF signals so as to transmit the converted signal through the antenna in the air. A control unit(220) controls a preference management unit(240), transmits the recommendation request from the preference management unit to the interface module, and transmits the response of the interface module to the preference management unit. A storing unit(230) stores a program for controlling the entire operations, and temporary data generated when performing the program. |
