PURPOSE:To ensure the correction for the leap year with no error and regardless of the dominical year or the year number, by comparing the timepiece data with the leap year data of the dominical year or the year number based on the result of automatic decision of the dominical year or the year number. CONSTITUTION:When the dominical year mode is set by operating a setting switch of an input device 9, a timepiece circuit 6 delivers the timepiece data on the dominical year. A CPU 1 reads the timepiece data on the dominical year out of the circuit 6 and furthermore the leap year data of the dominical year out of the leap year table data stored in an ROM 3 to compare it with the data read out of the circuit 6. The correction of leap year is carried out in case the timepiece data indicates the leap year. When the ''SHOWA'' (Japanese year number) era mode is set by the setting switch, the circuit 6 delivers the timepiece data on the ''SHOWA'' era. Then the leap year data of the ''SHOWA'' era is read out of the ROM 3 to be compared with the timepiece data on the ''SHOWA'' era. In the same way, the leap year correction is carried out. |
