PROCESS FOR PREPARING 3-AMINO-THIOPHENE-4-CARBOXYLIC ACID DERIVATIVES

Hypolipaemic 3-aminothiophenes of the formula <IMAGE> in which R1 is lower alkyl, aryl or aralkyl and R2 is lower alkoxy, and salts thereof are prepared starting from the corresponding 3-ketotetrahydrothiophene oximes. The resulting compounds of the formula I can be converted into the corresponding carboxylic acids or N-alkylated or N-aralkylated.
