A roof consisting of self-supporting roofing elements (1), which are arranged in juxtaposed rows to form a roof skin and each of which consists of a thin-walled rectangular sheet element, which is curved upwardly in the longitudinal and transverse directions and has roof-or bead-shaped longitudinal edge strips, which conform to the longitudinal curvature and overlap and are connected to longitudinal edge strips (2) of respective adjacent roofing elements (1), characterized in that the longitudinal edge strips (2) have the shape of an open-topped double trough in cross-section and spacers (7) are secured to the bead-shaped portion (4) between the two troughs (3) of the superimposed longitudinal edge strips (2) and carry a parallel second roof skin consisting of the same roofing elements (1a). |
