摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the weight and cost of an operating mechanism for a ventilator gate in the instrument panel of an automobile and diminish the number of assembly steps of the mechanism, by providing the operating mechanism with a bow-shaped positioning member made of synthetic resin to give a feeling of switchover in operating a lever. CONSTITUTION:A bow-shaped positioning member 6 is secured on mounting end portions 61 on the outside of a blowoff cylinder 3 so that the positioning member can be bent. The member 6 is integrally made of synthetic resin such as polypropylene, of which the blowoff cylinder 3 is also made. An operating lever 4 is inserted through a slot 36 and pivotally coupled to a mounting pin 32. The tip of the lever 4 is provided with a slot 41 in which the pin 21 of a gate 2 is engaged. The middle part of the operating lever 4 is engaged with a pin 62 provided on the central part of the bow-shaped positioning member 6. When the pin 62 is moved up or down under the action of the lever 4, the member 6 cannot be kept a medium state but buckles to be shaped as an upwardly or downwardly convex bow to give a feeling of changeover of the lever.
