Holding chamber for spherical fuel elements in a gas-cooled high temperature reactor

A holding chamber for spherical fuel elements for a gas-cooled high temperature reactor is proposed, the design and production of which is substantially simplified. The holding chamber is defined by a top reflector, a side reflector and a bottom reflector, and the graphite blocks bounding the holding chamber produce a silo and the graphite blocks forming the top surface of the bottom reflector fall away in the form of facets to the discharge tube.
