PURPOSE:To make it possible to carry out the splicing work of two tapes, simply and precisely, by allowing the cut end portions of the two tapes to be absobed and stuck onto a transparent charged dielectric member. CONSTITUTION:Cut tapes 2 and 3 pressed onto a tape bed 1 by pressing members 4 and 5, respectively. In this stage, the tapes 2, 3 are absorbed to a transparent dielectric member 6 which is charged by operating an electrostatic force generator 7. Thereafter, light rays from a light source 6 which is lit-on, transmit through the transparent member 6, and then pass through the abutted portions of the tapes. therefore, the alignment of tape cut portins may be visually checked. The tape splicing work is finally carried out by applying an adhesive tape 10 after the alignment of the tapes is confirmed. |
