The invention relates to a folding machine with a folding device (11) having any number of folding pockets (12-15) and with a feed device for the material to be folded. The feed device for the material to be folded has both a roller-train feed apparatus (19) and also a single-sheet feed apparatus (20). These feed apparatuses (19) and (20) can either be optionally brought into the entry region (17) of the folding device (11) or are arranged stationary with respect to the folding device (11).
