The hose drying installation has a drying duct which comprises a plurality of pieces and serves for receiving the hoses, in particular for firefighting purposes, to be dried by hot air conducted through the duct. An air-recirculating duct (2, 3) is connected via a housing (4, 5) to the drying duct (1) to form a closed system. Arranged in the housing are a blower (10, 11), a cooler (12), a condenser (13) and a compressor (14, 15). The equipment present in the housing and the waste heat from the drive motors (10, 14) of the blower and of the compressor serve as means for heating the air. The advantage of such an installation is that it operates without any external supply of heat. It allows heating expenditure and environmental pollution caused by noise emission and waste heat to be reduced. <IMAGE>
