The invention relates to a direction-finding antenna (aerial) system using vertical radiating elements having a small structural height and an omnidirectional reception characteristic. In order to achieve a small structural height with sensitivity which is nevertheless adequate, the radiating elements of the direction-finding system are in each case constructed as an electrical conductor which runs around the vertical axis in two- or three-dimensional bands, for example as a helical radiating element or as an electrical conductor running in a meandering shape. The last-mentioned embodiment is preferably designed as a printed stripline on insulating carrier material (for example Figure 1).
