PURPOSE:A coal slurry composition that contains a specific amount of a sulfonated polycyclic aromatic compound or its condensate with formaldehyde and a water-soluble hydroxyl compound, thus showing high fluidity, high calorie and enabling direct combustion. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprises (A) 0.1-5wt% sulfonated hydrocarbon group-containing polycyclic aromatic compound, its salt or its condensation product with formaldehyde, (B) 5-60wt% water-soluble hydroxyl compound, (C) 30-80% coal and (D) 5-30% water. The preferably examples of component A are naphthalenesulfonic acid, butylnaphthalenesulfonic acid or their condensation product with formaldehyde and component B is, e.g., methanol, ethanol or glycerol. |
